RPR-1024x682BarrieFolk is happy to host RPR in November as part of their BarrieFolk for Folks concert series.

They rocked the folk/roots music scene as the rhythm section of Tanglefoot, a hard working band with a massive presence and a relentless tour schedule that earned them a fanatically loyal following throughout Canada, the US and Britain.

Now Rob Ritchie, Al Parrish and Steve Ritchie have re-connected as RPR. Along with dynamic percussionist Beaker Granger, the new configuration affords the four veteran performers the opportunity to stretch their wings, indulging in musical whims and creating a memorable experience of arresting music, stories, laughter and reminiscence. It’s light and shade, irreverant and poignant, gentle as a whisper and rampantly energetic.

And whether it’s an original country song of Al’s, Steve’s recollection of a Robert Plant version of an old Dylan tune or Rob’s incisive musical humour, all the trademark harmony, the chemistry, the impact …are all there.

RPR’s debut CD Trans Atlantic is now available everywhere.

A portion of the proceeds from this show will go to the Barrie Brain Injury Association.

$20 each

Tickets can be purchased from the MacLaren Art Centre or online right now. Please note there is a surcharge on all online tickets sales.
